 Feedback Strategies: Giving Good Feedback This week, instead of learning about different types of feedback and why it is effective, I learned how to give good feedback to help other students grow. Giving praise is something all students desire to hear about their work, but it isn't going to help them become better. When giving praise, you need to provide concrete examples/evidence on what areas worked and which areas need more maturing.   Feedback Articles Seven Ways to Crush Self-Doubt This article was about the fear of never being good enough and battling with inner self-doubt that crushes our spirits and our minds on a daily basis. The quote that stuck out to me the most was "self-doubt can crush confidence" and this line hit me deep to the core. Growing up, especially coming into college, I felt the crippling effects of self-doubt. In high school, I was on the drill team but I often wasn't picked because I was told "honey you don't blend in with the other girls." Then coming into college, I interviewed with various organizations on campus and was told time after time "you are just not the fit we are looking for." Self-doubt found a way to creep in every crevice of my life from classes, to friendships, to dating you name it. I felt defeated.
